While many of their books were translated into English in their lifetimes, they have long since gone out of print. Since 2012, we have been publishing newly translated editions of these legendary classics. Our latest Strugatsky title, The Inhabited Island, is officially out now!

Love all the Strugatsky translations. According to the blurb for his Celestial Hellscapes book, Kevin Reese “is translating the Strugatskiis’ final works – their novel Those Burdened by Evil and their play The Yids of the City of Peter.” Will Chicago Review Press be Publishing these?
