A cop on the run, a baroness dead, and an island full of secrets. In the Galapagos Islands, 1938, Fred Freiman seeks refuge from the law and the mob, only to find himself embroiled in a murder investigation.

When the enigmatic Baroness von Arndt is found dead, Freiman is coerced into solving the crime by a corrupt official. As he navigates a web of international politics and local passions, he meets the captivating Ana de Guzmán, who joins him in unraveling the truth.
