Cynthia Sherry has been with Chicago Review Press since 1989. She has held financial management as well as executive editorial positions at Independent Publishers Group and Chicago Review Press. As publisher she acquires books, oversees the editorial and book production of about 60 titles a year under five imprints, including Lawrence Hill Books, Ball Publishing, Zephyr Press, and Academy Chicago, and manages an editorial, production, and publicity staff of 14

Director of Production

Allison Felus has worked at Chicago Review Press in varying capacities since 2002, most recently as production manager. She oversees all aspects of book production, including budgeting, printing, and shipping

 

 

Michelle WilliamsMichelle Williams
Managing Editor

Michelle Williams has been with Chicago Review Press since 2006. She has been working in publishing for eleven years, and enjoys working on CRP’s widely varied list for the range of topics she gets to learn about. 

 

 

Devon FreenyDevon Freeny
Developmental Editor

Devon Freeny began working for Chicago Review Press as a freelance copyeditor in 2006 and joined the company full-time as an editor later that year. In his thirteen years in publishing, he has been involved in all aspects of the production process, from acquisitions to developmental editing to layout and design. He graduated with honors in English language and literature from the University of Chicago.

Jon Hahn
Jonathan Hahn
Senior Designer

Jonathan Hahn is the in-house designer at Chicago Review Press. Along with designing many covers and interiors, he also directs a stable of freelance designers on additional projects. Some of his most recent work includes the covers for Hendrix on Hendrix, The Audacity of Hops, The Hemingway Cookbook, Occupants, Dirty South, The Upset, and the MiniWeapons of Mass Destruction series. He also designs all of the ads and marketing materials for Chicago Review Press.

 

Caitlin Eck

Emily Lewis
Marketing Associate

Emily joined Chicago Review Press as a dedicated marketing intern during summer 2015 and joined the team as a marketing and editorial assistant later that year.  Previously, she has been a sales intern at Sourcebooks and a publicity intern with Trafalgar Square Press. She has a BA in english and comparative literary studies with an emphasis in creative writing from Occidental College. 

 

  

Alex Granato
Editorial and Subrights Associate

After completing the Columbia Publishing Course at Oxford, Alex Granato spent six months as a publicity intern with Trafalgar Square Publishing. She then moved into an internship with Chicago Review Press, and joined the team as an Editorial Assistant in early 2018.  She is a graduate of the College of William and Mary with concentrations in Film and  Race, Gender, and Cultural Studies.
